How can I limit the amount of bandwidth to a certain web site?

Zeus Load Balancer can be configured to throttle the number of concurrent requests allowed to any of the hosted sites in your cluster, independent of any throttling configured in the web server. This can be useful if one or more sites are using a disproportionate amount of the total bandwidth available to all the hosted sites.

What happens when the throttle limit is reached?

If a client requests data from a site that has reached its configured limit, Zeus Load Balancer will redirect the client to a specified URL. This URL should be on a different web site (else it will continue to be throttled) and should contain some kind of error message explaining why the service is temporarily unavailable.

For more information about throttling, please consult Chapter 5 of the Zeus Load Balancer user guide.
