My error logs say that I'm running low on file descriptors. How do I make more of them?

If you find you are getting warning messages in the Zeus Load Balancer error log containing:

SERIOUS: Running short of file descriptors, see documentation for how to increase

you will want to raise the OS limit on the number of file descriptors available to the load balancer process.
