Why do I get multiple alerts for a single event?

The alert software runs on all of the Load Balancers. Because the balancers are designed to be completely separate and not rely on each other for fault tolerance reasons, all balancers will send an alert message when a fault develops (e.g. one of the back-end machines fails).
