Miva Empresa

Miva Empresa is a cross-platform XML/SGML web application development tool.

Installation Instructions

  1. Install the tar.gz distribution according to the online documentation, and configure the distribution accordingly. The installation directory for Miva Empresa will be referred to as <mivadir>.

  2. Following the install procedure, edit the example configuration file and copy it to <mivadir>/cgi-bin/miva.conf. Ensure that it has appropriate permissions set.

  3. Go to the Zeus Admin Server, under URL Handling, ensure that a URL mapping has been setup for '/cgi-bin'.

  4. Still in the map module, add a handler for extensions 'mv' and 'hts' (optionally) to '/cgi-bin/miva'.

  5. Add index.mv to the list of default index pages.

  6. Commit the changes.

  7. Point your browser at the website and try out the installation.

Miva supports: BSDI, Cobalt Microserver, DEC unix, FreeBSD, Linux, SCO, Sun Solaris (sparc), SGI IRIX, Windows 95/98/NT/2000
