PHP acceleratorsZend (http://www.zend.com/) and PHP Accelerator (http://www.php-accelerator.co.uk/) can be used to cache and accelerate interpreted PHP applications. Using Zend Accelerator with ZeusZend Accelerator (available from http://www.zend.com/) is fully compatible with Zeus Web Server running PHP/FastCGI (PHP 4.1.1 tested with ZWS 4.0r2). Before installing Zend Accelerator, ensure that you have copied a suitable php.ini file into its default location. This is usually /usr/local/lib, but this may vary from platform to platform. You can find out where your php.ini should be placed by using the phpinfo() page; you should see a line like: Configuration File (php.ini) Path /usr/local/lib When you run the Zend Accelerator script, it will prompt you for the location of your php.ini file, and the location for the Zend Accelerator admin interface docroot. For security, it is best to create a separate virtual server for this. You will know that your Zend Accelerator has been configured properly when:
